About Brian Karoney
A Kenyan entrepreneur and business builder developing and backing enterprises across several sectors of the African economy.

Biography
Brian Karoney is a Kenyan entrepreneur, investor and business builder based in Nairobi, Kenya. His work centres on developing operating businesses in sectors that produce something tangible: payments infrastructure, agriculture, natural resources and the built environment.
His interest in financial technology comes from a straightforward observation. Whether a trader can accept a payment, a supplier can be paid on time or a household can save reliably determines how much of the economy is genuinely accessible. Building payment infrastructure is a way of widening that access at the level of the system rather than the individual transaction.
In agriculture, the opportunity sits along the value chain: inputs, aggregation, processing and routes to market. Businesses that are commercially sound in those positions keep serving the farmers and buyers who rely on them, which is what distinguishes a durable agribusiness from a project.
Work in natural resources follows the same logic applied to what is already in the ground. Value retained near the source, through extraction, processing and supply into local industry, builds capability that outlives a single commodity cycle. Construction and property extend it further: warehouses, workshops, facilities and housing are the physical preconditions for most other activity.
Alongside the commercial portfolio, Brian supports cycling and community sport, where discipline, structure and visibility create pathways for young people that business alone does not reach.
Placeholder: education, early career detail, dates, company roles and formal directorships to be added once confirmed.
